Mangonadas & Chamoy

Mango nieve layered with chamoy, fresh mango, and chile-lime spice, crowned with a tamarind candy straw.

Aguas Frescas

Horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo stirred fresh in the big glass jars and served over ice, sweet and cold.

A True Paletería

La Michoacana is an independent paletería and ice-cream shop on West Lincoln Highway, serving DeKalb real-fruit treats made the traditional way.

Every paleta starts with fruit you can see: strawberries folded into sweet cream, coconut flecked through the mold, tamarind balanced with a whisper of chile. We pour small batches by hand, so the case is always changing and always fresh — when a flavor runs out, another takes its place.

Ours is a counter where Spanish comes first and everyone is welcome. Kids press their noses to the glass to pick a color, students cool off with a mangonada, and abuelitas order fresas con crema just like back home. Come as you are — the case is full and the door is open.
